ZFA - AUJS

About ZFA

The Zionist Federation of Australia (ZFA) is the peak body of all Zionist organizations in Australia and is responsible for developing, supporting and enriching a meaningful relationship between the Australian Jewish community and Israel and between the broader Australian community and Israel.

The ZFA represents the Jewish Agency for Israel, the World Zionist Organisation, Masa Israel Journey and Taglit Birthright Israel in Australia and, as such, is responsible for the management of a range of programs including short and long term Israel programs, programs for young adults, school educational programs, Aliya services, the Arava Australia Partnership and the recruitment and support of shlichim.

The ZFA also presents the Biennial Jewish Educators’ Conference, auspices the Diller Teen Fellowship program in Australia, coordinates programs engaging the Russian Speaking Jewish community and runs the Habayit centre for Hebrew and Israeli culture. We work within and external to the Jewish community, organising visits to Australia by Israeli politicians, academics and opinion makers, undertaking advocacy, political campaigns and representing our community to the Federal Government, the media, the general Australian community and of course within our own Jewish community.

AUJS

The AUJS Birthright Israel trip is a gift of ten days in Israel providing a first time, peer group, educational experience for Jewish students and young adults. This unique tour is designed to inspire participants and give them a stronger connection to the Jewish people, Jewish life and the State of Israel – all whilst having a great time relaxing on the beach, camel riding and exploring historical sites. Together with other young Australians, you will be able to enjoy the educational, spiritual and touring activities.
